1) Purpose & Scope
This policy covers all content published on Calendar Lover, including: calendar template PDF/PNG files, page text, site images/icons, and moon-phase visualizations.
Out of scope (brand): The Calendar Lover name, logo, domain (calendarlover.com), and other trademarks are not licensed here; all brand rights are reserved.
2) License Basis
Unless stated otherwise, Calendar Lover content is offered under Creative Commons BY-NC 4.0 (Attribution – NonCommercial).
Supplemental terms (additional conditions under this policy):
- Derivative/adaptation limit: Only resizing, light cropping, and small typographic fixes are permitted. Color/layout changes, adding text, or other substantial adaptations require prior permission.
- Watermark/branding: Any watermark or branding on images must not be removed.
- Re-hosting: Hosting our files on your own servers/apps (re-host) is prohibited.
Note: CC BY-NC 4.0 applies together with these supplemental terms.
3) Intellectual Property & Ownership
- Calendar templates (PDF/PNG), page layouts, typography, icon sets, and moon-phase visuals are original works produced by Calendar Lover.
- All such materials are protected by copyright owned by Calendar Lover. This protection extends to the selection, coordination, and arrangement of content.
- Brand elements (name, logo, domain) remain outside the license and may not be used without permission.
4) Attribution Requirements
Online use (non-commercial):
- “Source: Calendar Lover – [page title] ([page URL])”
- The [page URL] must be a clickable link.
Print use (non-commercial): Because our templates already include the site address in the footer, no additional attribution is required.
5) Limits of Non-Commercial (NC) Use
- Ad supported platforms (e.g., blogs with ads, YouTube with monetization) are treated as commercial use, not permitted.
- Nonprofit organizations (schools/NGOs): Allowed with attribution.
- Internal company use (intranet/training/internal decks): Allowed with attribution.
- Commercial use is generally prohibited.
6) Re-sharing & Hosting
- Re-hosting (hosting our files on your own servers/apps): Not allowed.
- Direct file linking (hotlinking to our files): Allowed.
You do not have to replace it with a page link. However, per Section 4 (Attribution), your surrounding content must include a clickable page URL to the relevant Calendar Lover page.
7) Distribution Channels
- Social media: Allowed with attribution.
- Embedding in apps/slides/assignments: Allowed with attribution.
- Media/press: Permitted for news/reporting with attribution. Do not imply endorsement, partnership, or approval.
8) Automation & Bulk Download
Bulk downloading, scraping, or automated crawling is prohibited. Non-compliant bot traffic may be blocked (e.g., hotlink protection, referrer/domain blocks, rate limiting).
9) Enforcement & Takedown Procedure
9.1 What counts as a violation
- Use without attribution / missing clickable page link (see Section 4)
- Commercial use (paid bundles, sales, ad-monetized distribution)
- Re-hosting, removal of watermarks/branding, or material content changes
- Bulk download / scraping or inclusion in AI/ML datasets
- Creating brand confusion (using our name/logo/domain in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership)
9.2 Friendly resolution: first notice
If we detect a violation, we first send a friendly notice. Within 48 hours, we expect one of the following:
- Add the required attribution + clickable page link, or
- Remove the infringing content, or
- Present the content via embed/hotlink with attribution.
9.3 If not resolved: possible measures
- Access restrictions: Hotlink protection, domain/referrer blocking, proportionate rate limiting
- Hosting/search notices: Takedown requests to hosts and search engines (including DMCA in the U.S.)
- Repeat violations: Permanent blocks on domains/IPs and, where appropriate, legal action and damages
9.4 Mistakes & appeals
If you believe a removal/block was in error, contact us via the Contact page. Where applicable under U.S. law, we will consider counter notice procedures and aim for a good faith, prompt resolution.
