FAQ

A) General & Pricing

1) Is Calendar Lover Free?

Yes, Calendar Lover is completely free to use. Our revenue model is advertising, and we implement ads in a way that protects the user experience.

2) Which Years and Months do You Publish?

  • Yearly calendars: 2026-2030
  • Monthly calendars: All months of the current year, with downloadable templates. We keep monthly calendars continuously updated throughout the year.

3) Which Languages and Countries do You Cover?

Our first priority is the United States. We also publish localized calendars for: United Kingdom, Germany, France, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Portugal, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Poland, Romania, the Netherlands, Belgium, Czechia, Sweden, Hungary, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Slovakia, and Lithuania. Each country’s calendar pages are prepared in the local language.

B) Features & Usage

4) Are Moon Phases Always Shown?

Yes. Moon phases appear on all country templates. We calculate them using the country’s primary time zone (in some regions the date may shift by one day due to time zone differences). Moon phase data comes from NASA.

5) Do ISO Week Numbers Appear On Every Template?

Yes. ISO week numbers (1-53) are available on all monthly and yearly pages. You can toggle week numbers on or off in our calendar tool.

6) How is the Week Start Determined?

By default, the week start follows local practice (Sunday or Monday). You can change the start day anytime in the calendar tool.

7) Which Holidays and Observances are Included?

We cover public (official) holidays, local/regional holidays, notable observances, religious days, and local celebrations. Country specific days appear in that country’s calendar tool and templates.

8) Do You Publish School/Academic Calendars?

Yes, where a country has fixed, officially defined school breaks. In the United States, school terms vary by state and district, so we don’t publish single-district calendars. For some European countries with fixed schedules, we include school calendars on their country pages.

C) Accuracy & Updates

9) Where do You Verify Holiday and Observance Data?

Our primary sources are official government and agency websites. When needed, we use Wikipedia as a secondary reference and cross check everything against official sources.

10) How Quickly do You Update After an Official Change?

We update the relevant calendar content within 24 hours and add a “Last updated” note to the page.

11) How do I Report an Error?

Please report issues via our Contact page. We respond within 48 hours.

D) Download & Print

12) Do I Need to Register or Share Personal Information to Download?

No. We don’t have an account system. You can download templates and use our tools without providing personal information.

13) Which Paper Sizes do You Support?

We optimize templates to match local practice—for example, US Letter for the United States and A4 for Europe. PDFs are prepared to be print ready.

14) Do You Offer Color and Black and White Options?

Yes. Alongside our minimalist black and white templates, we also provide color options.

15) Can I Download Blank Monthly Templates?

Yes. Every country page includes blank monthly calendars—ideal for printing and adding notes or to dos.

16) How do I Print or Download on Mobile and Desktop?

Each page has a “Print or Download PDF” button. Click it to open the print ready PDF. Then use your browser’s Print (Ctrl/Cmd+P) to print, or choose Download/Save to keep a copy on your device. (Steps may vary slightly by browser and device.)

E) Scope & Localization

17) How do You Label and Classify Holidays By Country?

We use a consistent, hierarchical tagging system across all country pages. Tag/badge text appears in the page’s language. When helpful, a tooltip provides a short explanation.

18) How do You Handle Time Zones and Daylight Saving Time (DST)?

Dates are shown using the country’s primary time zone. DST changes don’t shift the calendar day. For astronomical items (e.g., moon phases), regional time differences can move the date by one day—we add a note where relevant.

19) How do You Keep Terminology Consistent Across Languages?

We follow the naming used by official authorities (e.g. “Federal Holiday,” “Bank Holiday,” “Día festivo”) and apply it consistently site wide. For select countries, a vetted network of native translators reviews terminology and localization.
